Ever since the second horseless chariot was produced, racing must have begun. Today, we see all forms of motorized racing to appeal to the wide spectrum of interests. Drag, open-wheeled, stock-car (maybe not so stock any longer), sprint, endurance, sport cars and even lawn movers all vie to be the top dog. Let's not forget all its stars that pilot these variety of mechanical beasts...Walter Pietrowicz
• MORRIS GARAGE
Born out of the Morris Garage in England, the marque gain popularity especially after WWII when American GIs came back from their overseas tour and many falling in love with the British beauty.
• FORD GT40
Designed and built to conquer the sport of high-performance endurance racing, the 40-inch tall rocket after a slow start did rise as the star of the racing series in the mid to late 60s, winning many premium outings and the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans four time. As a result, the action removed Ferrari as top dog of endurance racing, and oddly, Ferrari hasn't won Le Mans since its beating.
• GURNEY-EAGLE
Not only cited as one of the most beautiful Grand Prix cars to race, but the race car diosigned for Dan Gurney" All American Racers team, rewarded him as one of three to date to win a GP race in a car of his own construction.
• MASERATI
Celebrating over a century, the Trident emblemed automobile still remains one of Italy's luxury marques and undoubtedly created many unique designs that would be at home in a museum as on the pavement.
