NEED WORDS Formally sponsored by Geico, the Skytypers Air Show Team, or Geico Skytypers, was a low-level aerobatic team that performed all around the United States, especially over Long Island for years. I can't count how many times (usually weekends) the sky was filled with various messages typed across the blue-sky canvas.

Unfortunately, two accidents (2018 and 2021) forced GEICO to drop its sponsorship and sadly led to the team flying its next-to-last show in 2022, the Annual Memorial Day Airshow over Jones Beach, Long Island, New York. With only 61 Navy North American SNJ-2's built between 1940-194, these rare cousins nicknamed the "Pilot Maker" to the Texas T-6 trainer will hopefully fly again.
