Opened in 1966 exhibiting the car collection of local businessman, Donald S. Gilmore, today stands as North America's largest automobile museum with 190,00 square feet of exhibit space and its 90-acre campus. The campus is also home to several other smaller diplays of the hoareless carriage: the Model A Ford Museum, Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum, Cadillac & LaSalle Club Museum (and research center), Pierce-Arrow Museum, Franklin Automobile Collection and Museum of the Horseless Carriage. Other attractions bsides the 400 plus vintage automobiles and motorcycles include the authentic 1941 Blue Moon Diner and a replica of a 1930's Shell service station.
