Occupying two floors of a building constructed between 1560 and 1580, the museum is home to its outstanding collections of sculptures and paintings dating back to the middle ages, including many masterpieces of Giotto, Beato Angelico, Leonardo, Michelangelo and many more artists representing the Renaissance period. The museum is a great addition to Florence's historic center.
