CURTISS P-40 WARHARK
Designed and built as a single-seat, single-engine fighter by Curtiss-Wright Corporation, the P-40 is a modified P36 Hawk and when production ceased in 1944, 13,738 planes have been constructed. An Allison V-12 produces 1,240 propelling the ground-attack aircraft to deliver its 2000 pound bomb load. Six 12.7mm M2 Browning machine guns are located in the wings.
