Crossing the Drake

Named after notable explorer, Sir Francis Drake, the Drake Passage between South America's Cape Horn and Antarctica's Shetland Island holds its place as the world's most treacheous body of water with potential waves reaching 40 feet. Luckily our trip found it unusally calm but still exciting turbulance was created as the MS National Geographic Resolution confronted the Drake's swells.
