HURRICANE LEE
Formed on September 5th, Hurricane Lee was the thirteenth named storm, fourth hurricane and third major hurricane of the 2023 season. Impacting Bermuda, Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada, Lee did intensify to a Category 5 on September 7th. In fact, Lee became the third fastest rapid intensification on record in the Atlantic Ocean. Luckily, Lee remained hundreds of miles offshore (250+), but provided us with a show of plenty of violent wave action.
