KAUA'I MUSEUM

The Kaua’i Museum is housed in the historic Albert Spencer Wilcox Building in Lihue and was originally Kauai’s first public library. It was repurposed and officially opened in 1960 as the Kaua’i Museum. It houses, showcases and preserves the rich cultural history and artifacts of Kaua’i. The museum also has many captivating exhibits and displays celebrating the island’s commerce and surfing heritage as well. In an ever-shrinking world that often erases its past, the Kaua’i Museum, instead, celebrates it. It’s a great place to learn and experience the history and humble beginnings of the Hawaiian culture.
